For your carbon footprint calculation, we aggregate emissions data from all companies and funds in your investment portfolio. This process includes:
Scope 1 Emissions: These are direct emissions that come from sources owned or controlled by a company, including fuel combustion in company vehicles.
Scope 2 Emissions: These are indirect emissions from the generation of purchased electricity, steam, heating, and cooling consumed by a company, including electricity purchased from utility providers.
After collecting this emissions data, we provide you with a weighted average result of your investment portfolio's carbon footprint. This means that companies representing a larger percentage of your portfolio will have a proportionally larger impact on your overall carbon footprint calculation.
